Galway Bay Golf Resort clubhouse re launches ahead of summer season
The Galway Bay Golf Resort Clubhouse has reopened after an extensive 3 month refurbishment. The Christy O Connor Jnr designed Golf Course on Galway Bay now boasts a newly renovated clubhouse and is gearing up for the summer golf and events season.
The 13,000 sq ft clubhouse has undergone a full renovation and is now open seven days a week with a bistro and restaurant serving gastro pub style lunches and a full Ala Carte evening dinning and Sunday lunch menu.
Using local produce to create a taste of the west, golf club diners will be treated to steamed mussels in a red pepper, garlic and tomato broth, wild Atlantic crab claws served with garlic butter, baked monkfish wrapped in Parma ham served with Dauphinoise potatoes and a wholegrain mustard sauce. It is not all about sea, as the meat eaters will be treated to slow braised Connemara lamb shank with a parsnip puree and Boulongere potatoes and a 10oz fillet of Irish Beef wrapped in streaky bacon served with salsa verde and hand cut chips.
Under the guise of GM Barry Phelan, the state of the art clubhouse is open from Monday to Sunday for breakfast, lunch and dinner- as well as now being available for all events, corporate & social and weddings.
“We are really looking forward to welcoming back all of our loyal customers who golf and dined with us in the past. We are delighted with the new look clubhouse and will be enjoying Sunday lunches, corporate days, parties and weddings here throughout the year. The golf course and now state of the art facilities will offer a very exciting golfing, dinning and events venue for the west of Ireland,” explained Ronan Killeen Director of Galway Bay Golf Resort.
