Michael Mullins Millinery combines classic head pieces with statement designs to ensure that each piece tells a story, starting at the beginning or completing an outfit. The talented Galway Milliners designs have graced the pages of Vogue and British Tatler showcasing his unique style to the world.
Drawing inspiration from his rural upbringing Michael uses accessible materials such as horse shoes and turkey feathers to bring a unique and stylish touch to every creation.
A former student of fashion and design at Galway Technical Institute, Michael’s vision, creativity and design skills were developed and nurtured through a collective learning environment.
“I touch on many genres and styles and bring textures together to make a statement for the women I dress. I am drawn to Vintage styles with a real love of lace, pearls and feminine touches.
“This season collection has allowed me to bring in a variety of sizes, colours and textures. Hats have made such a comeback and are a go to piece now for occasional and race wear. They complete the look. Full hats and half sized head pieces, finished with pearls and netting or lace sit beautifully and compliment the face. I have loved working with navy, pale and blush pinks this year, it is the variety and style and colours that keeps me inspired,” explained Michael.
Each Michael Mullins handmade piece is custom made using sinamay, beading, feathers, netting and flowers to create light and contemporary designs, keeping the current seasons colours and style in mind.
